"For me, photographs have always carried something eerie, the feeling of time-travel. Looking into the eyes of your great-grandmother, or seeing a rose photographed in the 1800s bloom exactly as it does now. There is a kind of magic in the way a photograph can collapse the distance between moments that should no longer be able to touch.

In this series, I weave details from old paintings into my own photographs, letting different times and presences share the same image surface."
